From North to South

Amy's ramblings. Once upon a time these ramblings pertained to my 5 months in Guatemala and Honduras. Then they followed the ebb and flow of my final semester in Alaska. From there things really went south ... to Argentina, Bolivia and Chile. After 8 months in the Andes, I fell back under Alaska's spell … working at a newspaper and wandering mountains. Now I'm somewhat south again ... in Jackson Hole, WY, teaching ski school on the clock and making fresh tracks off the clock.

Published articles

Check out these stories...

They're freelance articles I wrote for the Alaska Star. The first link takes you to the first article in a new monthly outdoor column that I'm writing for the paper. The second examins the lack of snow in this far north state.

Up next in my outdoor series... hanging out with the old-time Alaskans who form the McKinley Mountainmen Muzzleloading Rifle Club and learning how to shoot a muzzleloaded rife... well, learning how to shoot in general... I'd never shot a gun before last Saturday. It was super fun! I'll link you to that article when its published the first week of January.
