From North to South

Amy's ramblings. Once upon a time these ramblings pertained to my 5 months in Guatemala and Honduras. Then they followed the ebb and flow of my final semester in Alaska. From there things really went south ... to Argentina, Bolivia and Chile. After 8 months in the Andes, I fell back under Alaska's spell … working at a newspaper and wandering mountains. Now I'm somewhat south again ... in Jackson Hole, WY, teaching ski school on the clock and making fresh tracks off the clock.

A silly Saturday

For the last Saturday with Rangers (my group of local 3 year olds who I skied with all season) we all dressed up, went through a race course while parents watched and cheered, and partied with cake and other goodies. It was super fun day ... and also a good day to reflect. I remember teaching these kiddos how to make a pizza to stop on the magic carpet ... now we can all ski the chairlift together ... very cool to see that progression! Saturday in many ways felt like the beginning of the end ... it seems like the ski season just started ... and now there are only a few short weeks left before the mountain closes. On that note, enjoy the photos ... I sure had fun putting my costume together.
